Mastitis is an inflammatory infection of the mammary gland which may be caused both by environmental or mechanical factors. The causes are often infectious and mainly bacterial causes. Attention to the hygiene of the udder is fundamental to keep the teat healthy and reduce the incidence of mastitis.
In order to achieve satisfactory results it is necessary to carry out a pre and post-dipping strategy that guarantees:
- teat cleaning
- bacterial load reduction
- softness and respect of the skin's PH balance
- protection through a physical barrier around the teat
